Looking for new place to grab a bite while you’re wandering around downtown Toronto? If so, you should definitely check out Tacos 101 at 101 Dundas Street East. This small eatery is just a short walk from the Toronto Eaton Centre and Ryerson University, with prices cheap enough to feed any university student.
Tacos 101 is an inviting environment and features bright Mexican décor. The only thing you need to keep in mind is the very limited number of seats available. Luckily, most people get their tacos to-go so there’s rarely fights for seats. If you are waiting for a table, there are always free chips with which you can sample the various homemade salsas.
There are five signature tacos for you to choose from and even a vegetarian option. I personally recommend the Fish Tacos. The mix of fried fish with fresh mango salsa is the perfect blend of healthy and greasy. As well, the Al Pastor brings a twist to the classic Mexican dish by shaving pork shoulder off of a shawarma-style rotisserie. This is topped with pineapple, avocado puree and even more yummy add-on’s that will make your taste buds sing. I also highly recommend their homemade Horchata and their Mexican sodas.
Overall, Tacos 101 offers a cheap place to grab a quick meal after your shopping trip or while you’re wandering around downtown. A meal here will never run you more than $20 per person with drinks and tips included. A great vibe, in a great location, with great food. What else could you ask for?

Fashion designers are retiring the term “fanny pack” to welcome the new “it” accessory – “belt bags.”
Like fanny packs, this piece can be worn in two ways: around your waist, or a little above it to extenuate your stomach. Whether you opt for a casual look or something dressy, these bags are extremely versatile.
So, why should you ditch your traditional tote for a belt bag?
#1
No matter the occasion, belt bags are convenient, compact and allow you to be hands-free.
#2
Zara, Forever 21, H&M, you name it! These bags are affordable and can be found at pretty much every store!
#3
Get ready to stand out! These bags are not like your average fanny pack. They’re much more glamorous and act as a statement piece.
